French striker Kylian Mbappe is currently living in limbo, with unsure future; to realise his dream move to Real Madrid or continue at present club PSG.
He has been boxed in a corner and told to join pre-season in seven days. If that’s the case, he is due to travel to Japan on 22 July if his transfer is not resolved before then, and the club has set a deadline of 31 July.
In the letter that PSG sent to Kylian Mbappe on 3 July, the club formally called on the player to make a decision by 31 July, after the first contacts in which they had already made it clear that he would either renew his contract or accept a sale this summer had failed to make any progress.
The club claims that a meeting is “urgent” in order to find together “the best solution for both parties, i.e. a renewal for the 24-25 season or an exit in this same market”.
The club insists that these are the two solutions to help the club avoid a period of paralysis with regards to their future plans caused by the player’s “recent decisions”, says the three-page letter, Marca understands.
This comes in response to the two that the player sent earlier to first announce his desire not to renew his contract and a second to explain the reasons in more detail.
But from today until the last day of the month, there are more dates that could mark Mbappe’s future.
