Yobo Outlines World Cup Plans

Norwich defender, Joseph Yobo is determined to play for Nigeria’s Super Eagles at this year’s FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
While outlining his World Cup ambitions in an exclusive interview with his club’s magazine, which hits the shelves at end of February, Yobo plans to work hard for Norwich and ensure that his form earns him a place in Eagles’ final squad to Brazil 2014.
The central defender, a January loan signing from Fenerbahce, is however determined not to let the prospect of playing in the planet’s biggest football tournament detract him from his work at the Club.
“The World Cup is special. It’s the pinnacle of world football. It’s breathtaking. If I must have an opportunity to go, then I have to do everything to be in that squad”, Yobo said.
“The most important thing for me right now is what I’m doing at the moment and the situation of this club. I want to be able to give my best to them and make sure that we stay up, and hopefully that will then take care of the national team”.
