Adeboye Ogunsanya, a final year student of Economics at the University of Ado Ekiti, UNAD, became an overnight millionaire after winning N2.4m from a bet placed at an Ikorodu outlet of Winners Golden Bet, a sports betting company.
Ogunsanya, who is in his 30s, said he was confident that he would win after placing the bet because he was sure of the outcomes of the games he placed his bets on.
Ogunsanya, who patronised Winners Golden Bet for six months, was winning for the first time. He commended the management of Winners Golden Bet for keeping up to its promise of prompt payment.
The undergraduate said he plans to invest the money wisely. Ogunsanya is the second winner of money in excess of N2m, following Mr. Peter Ebunosa, a Port Harcourt-based retiree, who won N2.6m.
