Newly appointed Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Mr. Yomi Oke has promised to transform sports in the state.
This was said in a chat with newsmen at the Secretariat, Agodi Ibadan on Friday.
The Commissioner also emphasized that plans are on going to involve the private sector in the running of sports in the state.
Oke stated that he won’t be Commissioner for football alone, and that he will be focusing on other sports in the state that will fetch the state more medals in competitions.
Also in attendance at the meeting were the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Youths and Sports, Mrs. Agboola, Director of Sports, Mrs. Folake Adegoke, General Manager, Oyo State Sports Council, Mr. Gboyega Makinde and Mr. James Odeniran, the Chairman of Oyo State Football Association.
