Wikki, Stores Win NNL Matches

As expected, Wikki Tourists defeated second placed Kwara United 1-0 at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium, Bauchi to maintain the top position in the Nigeria National League, NNL, Division 1 A in an epic battle for the three points at stake last weekend.
Wikki Tourists had now garnered 18 points, opening two points ahead of Mighty Jets, Spotlight, Plateau and Adamawa United with 16 points each after their victories at the weekend to keep pace with the front runner.
Also, Shooting Stars defeated hard fighting First Bank  FC of Lagos 2-1 at Adamasingba Stadium but still failed to lead the log following top leaders Gabros International of Nnewi’s scoreless draw with Prime FC to maintain their position at the top of Group B table.
ABS of Ilorin failed to pick up points on the road in Benin City where they suffered 0-2 loss to Bendel Insurance, but Lagos darling team, Stationery Stores’ romance with Coach Fatai Amao paid off as the Adebajo Babes defeated Unicem 2-0 at Onikan Stadium.
