Warri Wolves’ll Show Character In Confed Cup -Aigbogun

Warri Wolves Football Club will be out to make themselves counted in this year’s CAF Confederation Cup, that’s the candid declaration of the team’s Chief Coach Paul Aigbogun, eyeonthesports.com reports.
Although, the team did not really perform well at the Glo Super 4, a pre-season tournament held in Abuja recently.
Coach Aigbogun believes Warri Wolves, who are due to depart for Burkina Faso on Thursday, 12 February, to honour their first round, first leg match against RC Bobo Dioulasso on Sunday, 15 February, will rise to the occasion from this weekend.
Aigbogun, who spoke to eyeonthesports.com in Abuja says the Delta State club are battle ready for the challenges.
“We are determined to begin our campaign in the continental tournament on an inspiring note and I’m impressed with the response of Warri Wolves players to the task ahead”, he told this website.
“The team did not jell during the Super 4 because we were experimenting with some new and old players in camp, but the event helped us to sharpen our players. Things are fast changing as the problems noticed in the pre-season tournament in Abuja are being looked into. I’m very positive the club will do well in the Confederation Cup”, Aigbogun told eyeonthesports.com.
It was gathered that a delegation of 18 players and nine officials will arrive Lagos from Warri on Wednesday and fly to Burkina Faso by 3pm on Thursday.
The players listed for the trip to Burkina Faso include; goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi and Okiemute Odah, Goodluck Onamado, Eyimofe Joseph, Semiu Liadi, Monday Osagie, Oke Ogagotewho and Ibenegbu ‘Mosquito’Ikechukwu.
The others are Micheal Egbeta, Michael Okoyoh, Joseph Osadiaye, Stanley Dimgba, Abu Azeez and Bright Akpojuvwewo.
Meanwhile, the strength of Warri Wolves has been boosted by the arrival of U-23 Eagles stars; Ichull Lordson, Austin Amutu, Omoforman Freedom and Achibi Ewenike who have been released to play for them in Burkina Faso.
