Enyimba Player Mfon Udoh on Monday, 15 December, won a brand new Kia Rio car after emerging as Player of the Season at the 2014 League Bloggers Awards held at Sheraton Hotel in Lagos.

Udoh, who scored 23 goals at the recently concluded Nigeria Premier League, NPL season, beat Emem Eduok of Dolphins FC and Peter Ebimobowei of Bayelsa United to the award.

Udoh, also won the Highest Goals Scorer Award for the season, beating Eduok and Ebimobowei who scored 20 and 18 goals respectively.

After winning a double during the ceremony, Udoh said: “I’m happy to be driving a new car home today, this goes to show that my effort was recognised during the season. I appreciate this gesture and thank the League Bloggers for the awards”.

Kano Pillars Coach, Okey Emordi emerged Coach of the Year at the awards ceremony, Gbolahan Salami won the Best National Team Player of the Year Award, while Kano Pillars won the Club of the Year Award.

Amongst the awards won at the LBA night were; Best Promoted Team – Giwa FC, Best Foreigner – Tamen Medrano of Sunshine Stars FC, and Best Goalkeeper – Theophilus Afelokhai of Kano Pillars FC.
