Talents At Football Clinic Excite Rufai

Coordinator of annual football clinic in Nigeria, Peter Rufai says he is excited to see thousands of talented young players who are eager to learn the rudiments of the game.
The football clinic, now in its fourth season will be rounded off with the Lagos Leg this week at the Agege Stadium from 12 -16 November, 2013.
Rufai, who is currently mentoring thousands of players between 13 years and 15 years, is particularly glad that the youngsters are responding well to the directives from their coaches.
“We are in Lagos for the last leg of this year’s edition, and I must express my satisfaction over the performance of the kids so far. It’s been a yearly affair, where we discover thousands of young talents, who would be groomed to become future stars”, Rufai said.
The kids are being exposed to the rudiment of football by top coaches, led by Rufai himself.
Rufai however urged the kids to listen to their trainers and learn the basics of football during the clinic in Lagos State, saying the youth development initiative is getting bigger every year.
The clinic, held in six cities across the country started in Abuja from 2-5 October, moved to Benin City where renown coaches tutored the kids in Edo state between 8-12 October, while Rufai and his train organised the Port Harcourt leg from 15-19 October.
The Enugu State leg was held between 22-26 October before the kids in Akure, Ondo State had their 29 October through 2 November. The clinic was also held at Abeokuta, Ogun State from 5-9 November before finally arriving in Lagos on 12 November for the final leg, which ends on 16 of the same month.
Rufai said the coaches would come out with the list of 32 good players from the lot that will take part in the novelty match which will climax the Lagos event on Saturday.
