Supreme Court Hammer Future Stars 5-0 In Pre-Season Match

Nigeria National League, NNL, campaigners Supreme Court FC of Abuja have sent a strong notice to would-be opponents ahead of the kick off of 2014/2015 football season, as they hammed an Abuja-based side Future Stars 5-0 in a friendly match at the weekend.
Fondly known as Apex Boys, the Coach Fatai Osho-turtored Supreme Court, which paraded mainly new signings dealt a big blow on Stars right from the 5th minute of the encounter when experienced striker Eric Eric buried the first goal into the net.
Eric who scored nine league goals last season volleyed the second goal of the day in the 24th minute before U-23 returnee Faisal Sherif completed the first half win with a cool finish in the 40th minute.
On resumption of the second half, the Apex Boys’ persistence continued before it paid off in the 85th minute when Eric grabbed his hat-trick, while Kingsley Okoh scored a stoppage time goal.
Coach Osho, who spoke after the friendly encounter heaped praises on his wards even as he admitted that noticeable lapses would be worked on before the new season starts.
Media Officer of Supreme Court FC, Ikenna Okonkwo quoted Coach Osho as saying; “My Players put up a very good performance despite the fact that some of them are new players who have really blended with the team. We are almost close to what we want and I’m very optimistic of our readiness.
“Our Opponents gave us a good fight, it’s just that we capitalized on their mistakes to get more goals,” he said.
Hat-trick hero, Eric dedicated his superlative performance to his teammates and assured of his readiness to score more goals in the upcoming season.
