Shooting Stars Thrash MFM FC 3-0 In Ibadan

Shooting Stars Sports Club, 3SC defeated Mountain of Fire and Miracles, MFM FC 3-0 in a Matchday three game of the Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL on Saturday with all three goals coming from Wasiu Jimoh.

Jimoh, who recorded the first hat-trick of this season scored the goals in the first half. He opened scoring for the Oluyole Warriors barely four minutes into the match at Adamasingba Stadium.

Jimoh was on song again on 19 minutes and finished the game as a hero when he netted the third goal on 39 minutes, leaving MFM FC to taste their first defeat since gaining promotion to the NPFL.

MFM FC however boast of six points from three games so far, having opened their campaign in the top flight on victory note when they snatched a 2-1 away win against Nasarawa in Makurdi last weekend. The prayer warriors beat Rivers United with a similar goal margin in a mid-week match at Agege Stadium in Lagos on Wednesday.

Shooting, who lost their opening day encounter by a lone goal to Lobi Stars last Sunday in Ibadan, now have three points from two matches. 3SC have an outstanding game against Enyimba in Aba.

“It’s the best moment of my life! I dedicate this victory and my hat-trick to my coaches and colleagues”, I thank Almighty Allah for making it possible”, Jimoh exclaimed after his star performance for 3SC against MFM FC on Saturday.

Shooting are away to Ifeanyi Ubah FC in their next match slated for Wednesday, 2 March, while MFM FC host Sunshine Stars of Akure in Agege same day.
