The management of Sharks FC of Port Harcourt has relieved interim head coach of the club, Daboere Dokubo of his duties, and directed that assistant coach, Festus Allen takes over the team till end of the first round of the Glo Premier League season.
General Manager of the club, Okey Kpaluku, said the management decided to do away with the two time interim head Coach of the team, due to the poor run of form in the league.
Kpaluku who described Coach Dokubo as a thorough breed coach, thanked the Kalabari born soccer tactician for investing his time with the team.
He added that Dokubo will be replaced by his first assistant Festus Allen who will be in charge of the team till the end of the first round when a substantive head Coach will be appointed.
“You will agree with me that the road has been rough for us this season and I don’t think it is proper we continue”.
“Coach Dokubo is one coach that does not like losing but we have found ourselves in a terrible situation and was left with no choice but to withdraw his services as head coach”, Kpakuku said.
Sharks poor run came to its climax yesterday following the goalless draw recorded against Nasarawa united in Sharks’ first match of the season at their backyard.
