Remy Scores As France Pip Spain

New Chelsea signing Loic Remy scored the only goal as 2014 World Cup quarter-finalists France overcame Spain in a friendly in Paris on Thursday.
Substitute Remy settled a competitive game with a sweetly struck 72nd-minute finish from 16 yards as Spain suffered a third defeat in four games.
Spain looked to be suffering a hangover from the World Cup, where they were knocked out at the group stage.
They lacked creativity in midfield and rarely threatened a busy France side.
Champions Spain start their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign against Macedonia on Monday.
Chelsea duo Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa both started against the French along with Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea.
France manager Didier Deschampssaid: “Spain used to play with their eyes shut with movement, precision, understanding.
“Vicente Del Bosque’s a very good coach, but he’s no more of a magician than anyone else.”
Spain manager Vicente Del Bosque reacted thus: “It’s true we didn’t create a clear chance, but we got ourselves into some dangerous positions.
“It’s a regeneration process, and that is what we’re aspiring to.
“You can’t always look back in football, and I was pleased with the attitude of the players.”
