Remo Stars FC are lamenting their loss to Ekiti United, as they failed to pick maximum points in the re-scheduled Nigeria National League week 7 fixture.
Eyeonthenews.com gathered that Ekiti United laughed last in the battle as their Ogun opponents fell like pack of cards.
Remo lost the encounter 1-2 to Ekiti United despite taking the lead on a day they thought was going to end in their favour.
Captain of the Sky Blue Stars Victor Mbaoma described the loss as a bitter pill to swallow, having surrendered a one goal lead with just 5 minutes to go.
Mbaoma, who scored the opener was disappointed with the result, saying: “Its difficult to describe how I feel at the moment, we had a couple of chances we didn’t convert before I scored and afterwards we failed to clear our lines.
“The result is difficult to accept because we had worked hard and even played so well to get maximum points here but it wasn’t meant to be so at the end of the day”.
Meanwhile, Remo Stars FC travel down the Rojenny Stadium in Ontisha to take on Lobi Stars in the Federation Cup on Wednesday.
