Remo Stars Claim Metro Pro League Top spot

Remo Stars Football Club left no stone unturned in their quest for glory with a 2-0 victory over 36 Lions FC in a Week 8 tie of the Metro Pro League.
The Kunle Soname lads compounded the woes of struggling Lions with two unreplied goals at Onikan Stadium, to move to the league summit, and also became the third team in succession to top the league table after Apapa Golden Stars and Bridge FC. Remo Stars are sitting tops with 17 points in their kitty with 5 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss.
In the other game of the day, Bridge FC survived an upset but lost their top spot status with a 6-goal thriller against Nath Boys FC at the Legacy pitch. The game ended 3-3 at regulation time.
Meanwhile, action will now resume on Thursday at Strong Tower Pitch, Ikorodu, as Bolowotan FC entertain Apapa Golden Stars, while Yobo FC battle Union Bank Football Club at Agege Stadium.
The matches will kick off at 4pm at both venues.
