Chief Coach of Shooting Stars Sports of Ibadan, Gbenga Ogunbote has described their five star victory against visiting Kano Pillars in a Match Day 33 Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex in Adamasingba, Ibadan on Sunday, as a precautionary measure to avoid the drop this season.
He said this while speaking to newsmen immediately after the match, that beating Pillars would spur the team on to take on any team as the club will be facing table toppers Rangers International of Enugu and Wikki Tourist of Bauchi in their remaining home games this season.
Meanwhile, Coach of Kano Pillars Football Club, Baba Ganaru has also reacted to his club’s loss to the Oluyole Warriors.
Ganaru said the dismal loss was one of those things that happens in football; “It is their day and they are the better team,” he said.
Coach Ganaru said the inclusion of former Super Eagles captain Joseph Yobo, brought confidence to the team, saying he is a morale booster that motivates Pillars this season.
