Rational Choice And Leadership In Sports

Hello sports fans round the globe. Iam back with another edition of my column, which is on ‘rational choice & leadership’ in sports.
To think creatively, we must be able to look afresh at what we normally take for granted. We take out who we elect, and choose those we select. We are not creatures of circumstance; we are creators of circumstance.
So where the country’s sports, and good governance stall at the moment, both politically, economically, structurally and so on is the outcome of the choice of our yester-years. Because we choose our joys and sorrows long before we experience them.
Whether you’ll lead or will lag behind. Whether you’ll try for the goal that’s afar. Or just be contented to stay where you are. But no matter what happens, we always have a choice. Even when it seems that there is no option, there is always something else that can be done.
What happens in our lives is the result of decisions that we make. There are two primary choices in life; to accept conditions as they exist, or accept the responsibility for changing them. They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.
The strongest principle of growth lies in human choice. Those that were elected or selected or imposed upon the people must stand down of being rational choice in their theory. Let me throw some light on this; from an economical perspective, it plays a huge role in human behavior. That is, people are often motivated by cash flow and the possibility of making a profit, calculating the likely costs and benefits of any action before deciding what to do. This way of thinking is called rational choice theory. One key element in rational choice theory is the belief that all action is fundamentally ‘rational’ in character.
This distinguishes it from other forms of theories because it denies the existence of any kinds of action other than the purely rational and calculative intention. Moreso, if good governance is all about good life for the people, how come people compromise?
We choose our joys and sorrows long before we experience them. We would rather be in the company of somebody we like than in the company of the most superior being our acquaintance. We know where most of the creativity, the innovation, the stuff that drives productivity lies- in the minds of those closest to the work. Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Because tomorrow comes to us at midnight very clean. It’s perfect when it arrives and puts itself in our hands. We must learn something from yesterday.
It is high time for a change. To elect the right person to govern. To select the right candidates to represent the country’s image everywhere. What we call the secret of happiness is no more a secret than our willingness to choose the right platform of good governance.
It is also the secret of success and consistency, endearing purpose for the youths and its inhabitants. I hope you enjoyed this one, join me again for another edition, till then, have a nice day and poke in some goals.
*Remember that; Goals give a good count with self esteem and edge over others, even if the inputs tallies at the end.
*Some goals can also cause huge setbacks with low esteem with compromise, especially when all inputs tally. So, note that only positive goals and consistency in our activities can make the different in life.
