Rangers International of Enugu will host Enyimba International of Aba in an end of the first round clash of this year’s Glo Nigeria Premier League at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium On Sunday, reports eyeonthenews.com.
Going into the Oriental derby, the Coach Imama Amapakabo-led Rangers snatched a point away at Bayelsa United in a Glo Premier League Match Day 18 encounter decided at the Oghara Township Stadium on Wednesday.
Rangers, popularly known as the Flying Antelopes now have 27 points from 18 matches to place 7th on the log, having won eight, drawn three and lost seven games.
And, for Enyimba, the People’s Elephant drubbed table toppers Sunshine Stars 3-1 in this week’s midweek match in Aba to maintain their second position on the log, though sharing the same 33 points with the leaders. Enyimba have won nine matches, drawn six and lost just three games so far this season.
The Match Day 19 clash is the first encounter between the two Eastern clubs in the Glo Premier League this season, and the match is expected to be explosive.
All the teams would formerly round off proceedings for the first round of the season after Sunday’s matches.
