Racine’s Lasisi Wins Metro Pro League Award

AS Racine’s striker, Gafar Adekunle Lasisi has been named the Metro Pro League Player of the month of March.
The young lad, Lasisi, earned himself this honour, as his outstanding displays caught the attention of the Metro Pro League management and fans to be adjudge the best player in the ten-team league for the month of March.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony at the Agege Township Stadium on Thursday, the Metro Pro League Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Victor Akinyooye said the idea to honour outstanding players on monthly basis is to recognize, encourage, reward hard work, performance and results on the pitch.
He then assured that honours shall be bestowed on the most outstanding player of every month.
Lasisi, born on 19 August 1996, is the last born of a family of seven siblings.
He hails from Aiyetoro in Ogun State. The 177cm right footed center forward weighs 70kg and wears enterprising jersey number 9 for his club.
The talented player started playing football at a tender age and developed a keen interest in the game from the primary school. He honed his skills at Mageeco Football Academy in Agege before joining AS Racine FC.
Lasisi has scored 5 goals in some matches in the month of March, which earned him the first ever Metro Pro League Player of the Month Award.
