
Africa’s number one table tennis player, Aruna Quadri of Nigeria has revealed that Portuguese teammates; Diodo Silva and Andre Silva are the brains behind his success.
Quadri, who recently moved to number 30 in International Table Tennis Federation, ITTF Ranking, paid special tributes to the two players via the social media, explaining how the Portuguese stars have helped him develop his game.
“Fans,it’s with great pleasure to introduce my Portuguese teammates, best friends, my brothers to you, Diogo Silva and Andre Silva. These two guys helped me a lot to get into this position today in the world of table tennis”, the current Sports Person of the Year said on his facebook timeline.
The Nigerian star went further to tell his followers that he and his Portuguese teammates are are like one family, as they sleep, eat and practice table tennis together.
“I can strongly say that I improved a lot with the help of these players. In another way, these players are like my coaches in training as they used to correct my mistakes during practice.
“I am so sorry that this is coming late to mention these players who have contributed a lot to my rapid improvement in table tennis but I think it’s better late than never”, Quadri said, adding that he appreciates working with the Portuguese stars and pledged to be loyal and humble to them.
