
Reports say Nigeria Premier League champions Kano Pillars have sacked Nazifi Ammani and nine other players ahead of the new season.
Among the other players laid off are Bello Musa Kofarmata, Kingsley Udoh and Kabiru Umar.
Fullback Ammani has endured long-term injuries in the last two seasons, same as former Enugu Rangers and Heartland striker Kabiru Umar.
Pillars, who will represent Nigeria in the 2015 CAF Champions League alongside Enyimba International of Aba, have signed several other players including Nasarawa winger Tony Edjomareigwe, Samuel Tswanya from Bayelsa United and Christian Obiozor of Enugu Rangers.
Meanwhile, the League Management Company, LMC says the 2014-2015 NPL season will kick off early March, 2015 after the country’s general elections slated for next month.
