Nigeria Premier League champions, Kano Pillars, opened a four-point lead at the summit of the top flight following a 1-0 win over Abia Warriors on Saturday.
Kano Pillars got their noses in front in the ninth minute through Adamu Hassan.
Hassan’s early goal proved just enough for the champions to claim the three points and take their total to 43 points.
Dolphins and Sharks played a scoreless draw in the Port Harcourt Derby.
