Love him or hate him, embattled former Super Eagles of Nigeria forward, Osaze Odemwingie remains dangerous in front of goal.
The former Bendel Insurance of Benin and Lille of France player, scored his fifth English Premier League, EPL goal of the season for Stoke City in their 4-1 win against Aston Villa on Sunday.
Osaze hit target in the 22nd minute to level scores at 1-1 after Pillars had taken the lead in the fifth minute through Christian Benteke.
His goal was a typically cold-blooded finish as he calmly collected strike partner Peter Crouch’s knockdown before drilling a low hard shot past Brad Guzan.
Osaze has now scored four goals from just nine shots on goal since joining Stoke City, giving him a conversion rate of 44.4%.
His goal on Sunday was actually his fifth league goal of the season as he scored once for his former club, Cardiff City, on 5 October, 2013 against Newcastle United.
He then scored for the Potters after completing his move in January against Southampton on February 8 and followed it up with a brace against West Ham United on 15 March.
Sunday’s win takes Stoke up to 10th on the league standings with 37 points from 31 matches.
