The Oyo State Basketball team, the Oluyole Warriors was again beaten by Hoops And Read Basketball team of Lagos by 77-66 points in the Atlantic Conference of Kwese Basketball League.

The game, held inside the Indoor Sports Hall of Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba in Ibadan, saw the warriors going into the game on a promising note, winning the first two quarters 8-7, 35-32 before being pegged back in the third quarter, which tied in 52-52 points.

But, they eventually lost momentum in the last quarter and dropped by 11 points.

Speaking to newsmen after the game, Coach of the Oluyole Warriors Taye Shobogun blamed his wards for not playing to instruction, saying they were always rushing even when they are leading.

“This made us to concede a lot of turnovers, which was converted into basket against us”, he said.

Meanwhile, the chief coach of Hoops And Read, Olubunmi Osho said their victory over the Oluyole Warriors was a surprise to him, noting that the Ibadan club was an experienced side, believing that they only lost the game because of their drop in confidence in the latter stages of the game.

Earlier last week, the Oluyole Warriors lost their first game of the season 77-82 to Nigerian Air force Basketball team, NAF Rockets inside the same Indoor sports Hall of Lekan Salami Sports Complex.

The Warriors lost all the four quarters to a more coordinated and disciplined side from Lagos in a thrilling encounter watched by many spectators.
