Super Eagles Coach Sunday Oliseh, may have fulfilled his promise not to invite bench warmers to his team, as he left out Chelsea midfielder, John Mikel Obi and some regulars in his 18-man squad released on Monday.
The 18 foreign-based professionals invited for next month’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Tanzania in Dar es Salaam includes; Eagles’ number one goalkeeper and skipper Vincent Enyeama, defenders, Godfrey Oboabona, Leon Balogun and Kenneth Omeruo.
The midfielders invited are; Rabiu Ibrahim, Lukman Haruna and Joel Obi, and strikers Ahmed Musa, Emmanuel Emenike and Anthony Ujah.
Oliseh instructed that all the 18 players, who will team up with the 23 Home-based stars, who arrived Abuja camp on Monday, are expected in Abuja on Monday, 31 August, 2015.
The Eagles take on Tanzania in Dar es Salaam on Saturday, 5 September.
