Okocha, Davido, Others Battle Against AIDS

.As Play For Life Novelty Match Holds In Lagos Saturday –
Former Super Eagles skipper, Austin Jay Jay Okocha will join other stars at the Campus Stadium in Lagos on Saturday, 30 November, to compete in a novelty match organized by the Friends of Africa to mark the World Aids Day.
The match was put together to fight the stigma and discrimination against the people living with HIV/AIDS.
In the 2012 edition of the Friends Africa Novelty Match, Okocha pulled a hat trick by scoring three of the nine goals against Team Entertainers.
Okocha will play with Team Eagles again at the 2013 edition of the Play for Life Novelty Football Match against the Team Entertainers, that will parade super stars in the music and movie industries including David Adeleke, aka; Davido.
The other ex-internationals expected to feature in the action packed encounter are; Nwankwo Kanu, Super Eagles Assistant Coach, Daniel Amokachi, Jonathan Akpoborie, Teslim Fatusi, former Chelsea defender, Celestine Babayaro and Ogbonna Kanu amongst others.
The Team Entertainers will also feature super stars such as Segun Arinze, Fred Amata, Nonso Diobi, John Njamah, Dr Sid, and Jude Abaga, popularly known as MI to mention just a few.
MI was one of the best performing players in the 2012 Friends Africa Novelty match. He promised to play against Team Eagles in Lagos.
Meanwhile, Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of the Friends of Global Fund Africa, Dr Akudo Anyanwu-Ikemba said the body has also concluded plans to conduct free tests for Nigerians with a target of having not less than 5,000 Nigerians to be tested for HIV/AIDS this year, adding that the exercise had already commenced at the Campus Stadium in Lagos.
