Ojo Crush Onigbongbo In Lagos Junior League Duel

An Oladosun Samson’s 56th minute strike ensured Y.M.D Babes of Ojo cruised to their fifth successive win of the Lagos Junior League, LJL season.
Ojo manager Stanley Apata was full of praises for his team after they fought off a spirited Onigbongbo side to 3-1 victory.
Ojo dominated the opening minutes and it took them 22 minutes to go ahead with a tidy finish from Timothy Solomon, after taking advantage of the visitor’s sudden lapse in concentration. Onigbongbo’s subsequent quests for an equalizer were effectively snuffed out by an organised Ojo’s backline.
The task was made harder for the Onigbongbo team with a 56th minute goal from Oladosun Samson, which further compounded their woes. Ojo continued to dominate but the third goal sealed their victory. The visitors pulled one back in the 80th minute through Ifeanyi Obi, making the final minutes of the match a scrappy affair. Ojo’s victory sees them edge closer to the League Summit.
In the other matches, Apapa Golden Stars efficiently demolished local rivals 5-0 in a largely one-sided affair.
Ifako Ijaiye also responded to their last week defeat to Onigbongbo by crushing Eti Osa East 3-0. Lagos Island and Mosan Okunola managed a 1-1 draw, while Ajeromi Ifelodun, Lagos Island East, Agege Giants, Mushin and Itire Ikate all cruised to easy victories in their various matches.
