Nigeria Cricket Team For Tour Of Sri Lanka

The Nigeria Cricket Federation, NCF says it had concluded plans for the national male cricket team to embark on a tour of Sri Lanka.
The NCF president, Emeka Onyeama, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) the tour was part of the team’s preparations for their participation in the World Cup Division 5 League.
He said the tour, which was billed to run from 21 February to 3 March, would be bankrolled by the Sri Lanka High Commissioner to Nigeria, Prince Solomon Liyanage.
“It is his way of helping the Nigerian team adequately prepare for the competition. While on the tour, the Nigerian cricket team will have the opportunity to play against several top Sri Lankan teams in friendlies to prepare the team adequately for the upcoming competition”, Onyeama said.
He said the team would depart Colombo in Sri Lanka on 3 March for the World Cup Division 5 League in Malaysia, scheduled for 4-14 March.
The NCF president said the Sri Lanka Cricket Board had arranged for the Nigerian team to play against three top cricket clubsides while on the tour.
