Nigeria To Battle Italy In London

footballReports from the secretariat of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, say the Super Eagles will play an international friendly match against Italy in London on 18 November, as the African champions begin their preparations for the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals in earnest.
In a statement in Addis Ababa moments after the Super Eagles secured a 2-1 win over Ethiopia to put a firm leg in the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals on Sunday, the NFF and its Match Agent, Jairo Pachon of Eurodata Sport announced: “We are pleased to confirm a top international friendly match, against world’s number four, Italy, on 18 November, 2013 at Fulham’s Craven Cottage. The math will kick off at 7.45pm.”
“We are also happy to confirm a match for our Super Eagles home team against Jordan in Omman on 28 October. This match that will serve Jordan to prepare for their World Cup playoff match against Uruguay, while it will also help Nigeria to prepare for next year’s African Nations Championship.”
