When Nembe City FC are planning to surprise their South South neighbours, Sharks Football Club when they do battle in the MatchDay 30 of the Nigeria Professional Football League this weekend in Port Harcourt.
Spokesman of Nembe City, Gbenga Adeleye believes they can pull a
surprise in the encounter. “On paper, everybody expects us to lose but am confident we will prove bookmakers wrong by beating Sharks at their own backyard.
“Some Sharks fans expect their team to defeat us but they will be surprised at the end of the match. You know, they took a point
from us in Omoku in the first leg, so we are here to take all three
points.
“We can’t afford any slip considering the position we occupy on the Log. We want to use this game as a turning point to ease our
relegation fight, and remain in top flight of Nigerian football.
“However, losing against Sharks will be a disaster for us and we can’t afford that”, Adeleye said.
