Ndanusa Lauds Lagos ‘Governor’s Cup Plus’

President, Nigeria Tennis Federation, NTF, Engr. Sani Ndanusa, has lauded this year’s Governor’s Cup Lagos Tennis Open, labelling it ‘Governor’s Cup Plus.
Ndanusa, who was speaking at the press conference to herald the commencement of  the International Tennis Federation, ITF pro circuit, said the inclusion of Wheelchair tennis, a junior championship and the new sponsors; Life-mate and Gionee, has taken the tournament a step ahead of what was obtainable in the past.
He also hailed the continuous support of Etisalat and First City Monument Bank, FCMB, stating that the tournament has been effective because of their sponsorship.
“This year’s tournament is witnessing a great change because of the inclusion of the wheelchair tournament, junior championship and of course the inclusion of Lifemate and Gionee as our new associate sponsors.
“I’ll like to call it Governor’s Cup plus because it’s all encompassing. The players who are coming this year are highly ranked and will give stiff competition to our players.
“More so, the camping of the players will enable them perform better and we are expecting a more convincing performance from them,” he offered.
Meanwhile, Tournament Director, Prince Wale Oladunjoye, has encouraged the sports loving Nigerians to make themselves available during the two-week championship.
