National League Clubs Hold Congress In Abuja

The annual Nigeria National League, NNL, Clubs Congress will hold in Abuja on Thursday, 5 December, with the arrival of delegates billed for a day earlier.
According to the NNL Secretary, Lawrence Katkem, the Clubs Congress will take place at Crown Princess Hotels located at Wuse in Zone 7 area of Abuja on Thursday.
He revealed that the NNL Clubs Congress will among other things; review the activities of last season and take decisions which will see to the smooth running of the second tier league in the new season.
The Club Congress is also expected to ratify the decisions taken by the NNL Executive Board for the good of the game. They include the promotion and relegation of teams that participated in the 2012/2013 league season.
Already, the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, had last week confirmed the promotion of four top leaders in the NNL to play in the premier division.
They are Giwa FC and FC Taraba in Group A and Abia Warriors FC and Crown FC of Ogbomosho in Group B.
The four teams had last month battled for the champion of champions trophy in the Super Four soccer fiesta.
Giwa Football Club won the cup, with Abia Warriors of Umuahia coming second, while FC Taraba and Crown FC finished in the third and fourth positions respectively.
