Azeezat told the court that her husband, Ayinde, does not respect their marriage as he usually brings women into their matrimonial home.

“There was a day, I saw a pant under our pillow when dressing the bed, I was surprised because I don’t have a white pant. And I don’t have female children, I queried my husband and he denied it.

“Another day I saw ear-rings on top of our dressing mirror drawer, I don’t wear ear ring, I inquired from him how the ear rings got into our bedroom but instead he turned it to fight,” he said.

The petitioner, who is a teacher, said that Ayinde’s infidelity had led to her constant visits to the hospital to treat infections.

“My husband always infested me with STDs, I have been in and out of hospital treating gonorrhea, staphylococcus and other infectious diseases due to my husband’s unfaithfulness,” the estranged wife said.

“Please, dissolve this loveless marriage, I have tolerated him enough and can no longer continue,” she said.

Ayinde, 40, admitted that ladies always came to their house, but he claimed they were his wife’s friends.

“Her friends always visited me whenever my wife was not around. I don’t have anything to do with them,” the respondent said.

He said that he did not abandoned his family that it was distance that always made him not to come home everyday.

“I always stay back at work because of distance, sometimes, I return home at weekends,” he said.

Omilola adjourned the case to April 4 for further hearing.
