LMC Postpones Sunshine Vs Rangers Match

A minor adjustment has been made to the Match Day 34 fixture of the Glo Premier League as the game between Sunshine Stars and Rangers International has been put on hold.

A letter to both clubs signed by Salihu Abubakar, the Chief Operating Officer of the League Management Company (LMC) said it had granted the request of Sunshine Stars FC of Akure which cited the involvement of six of their players in the Super Eagles team scheduled to play against Burkina Faso in a return leg of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers this weekend.

The LMC noted that it approved the request in line with Article B15.14 of the Framework and Rules of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) which provides that a club with five players or more in the national team camp can apply for a postponement of its fixture.

The LMC said all other fixtures of Match Day 34 will hold as scheduled on Wednesday, 21 October, while a date for the Sunshine Stars versus Rangers International engagement will be announced on or before Thursday, 22 October.
