The League Management Company, LMC, looks set to begin the 2014/15 Glo Nigeria Premier League scheduled for early March, as the body hinted that Fixtures for the new NPL season will be drawn at a ceremony in Abuja on Wednesday, 18 February.
At the draw, defending champions Kano Pillars would know their first opponents in the new season slated to begin between 7-8 March.
The League body however reminded the clubs that Friday, 20 February remains the deadline for submission of registration materials for the new season.
Salihu Abubakar, the Chief Operating Officer of the LMC said: “The Draw ceremony is part of the build-up to the new season, coming after the Glo Premier League Super-4 Invitational”.
He added that the 5 March cut-off date for the submission of Financial Performance Guaranty still stands and said appropriate sanctions will be applied to clubs that breach the deadline.
