Ligety Makes History At Sochi Olympics

Ted Ligety made history on Wednesday at the Sochi Games by becoming the first American male skier to win two gold medals in Alpine.
Considered the world’s best in the event, Ligety dominated the giant slalom and took advantage of good course conditions to win gold.
He finished with a combined time of 2 minutes, 45.29 seconds, winning by nearly a half-second. Ligety explains the challenges and obstacles it took for him to get back to the medal stand after eight years.
