.Technical Director, Disu Says LJL Has Come To Stay –
The second Annual General Meeting, AGM of the Lagos Junior League, LJL, will hold at the Sports Bar inside the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos on Wednesday, 11 December, 2013.
The Executive Secretary of Lagos Junior League, Barrister Taofik Aromire said the event, which begins from 11am, will serve as an avenue for his board to update the state and Nigeria as a whole about the activities of the league so far.
Aromire said various stakeholders and media partners of the Lagos Junior League are expected at the AGM, where they would make contributions to the development of the league.
Technical Director of Lagos Junior League, Coach Tunde Disu, OFR, told eyeonthesports.com that the youth football league has come to stay, having recorded a lot of improvements in many areas.
“The teams are well prepared now more than before, and the players are being encouraged to give their best because they know there are financial rewards at the end of the season”, Disu told eyeonthesports.com.
Disu, a former national coach, also pointed at some positive changes in the standard of play amongst the participating teams, and praised the referees for improving on the officiating of the league.
He however, described the talent discovery initiative as a football festival amongst the youths of Lagos State.
