Kano Pillars Crash Out Of Champions League

Nigeria champions Kano Pillars were bundled out of the 2015 CAF Champions League on Saturday after a tame 2-1 win over Moghreb Tetouan of Morocco at the Sani Abacha Stadium.
The win was a far cry from what the Nigerian side needed to make progress, after they lost 0-4 in the first leg in Tetouan, Morocco two weeks ago. The Moroccans progress on a 5-2 aggregate.
Mohsinne Iajour scored a hat-trick within 22 minutes of the first leg in Morocco, and the North Africans then scored first to silence the capacity crowd in Kano.
Pillars scored through Tony Edjomareigwe and Rabiu Ali in the second period, but it was a case of too little, too late as the Nigerian side was eliminated.
Nigerians will look up to two-time champions Enyimba FC to hold onto their 1-0 advantage over Smouha FC of Egypt when both teams meet in the second leg in Alexandria on Sunday.
