Jonathan Showers Millions On Golden Eaglets

Nigeria President, Goodluck Jonathan who hosted the Golden Eaglets that won the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup at the State House in Abuja on Sunday 10 November, doled our millions of naira to the team.
Jonathan rewarded each player of the Eaglets with the sum of N2 million, the Chief Coach, Manu Garba gets N3 million while assistant coaches; Emmanuel Amuneke, Nduka Ugbade and goalkeeper’s trainer received N2.5 million each.
The Nigerian team made history with a 3-0 win over holders Mexico in the final played at the Mohammad Bin Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Friday, 8 November, 2013.
The final was a rematch of the 6-1 win Nigeria inflicted on the Mexicans in Group F play and saw the Golden Eaglets lay hands on the junior world trophy for the fourth time in their history, one better than South American giants Brazil.
President Jonathan said the Eaglets, their coaches led by Manu Garba and other officials were rewarded for their gallant efforts at the U-17 World Cup, where they did Nigeria proud.
