Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo has been trapped by his English Premier League side, Watford Football Club, at least till year 2020.
The Hornets confirmed on their website that Ighalo has signed a new five-year deal at Vicarage Road, revealing that the stocky player has further committed his future to the club until 2020.
The Super Eagles attacker has scored 21 goals in 42 appearances since signing for Watford in July 2014.
Ighalo initially moved to Watford on loan ahead of the 2014/15 campaign, but that move was made permanent three months into the promotion-winning season after a successful start to life at The Vic.
The 26-year-old saved his best form for the early months of 2015, scoring a remarkable 13 goals in nine fixtures at the start of the year, and he went on to find the net 20 times in just 22 league starts.
A Nigerian international, Ighalo opened his Premier League account with Watford’s second goal in a 2-2 draw at Everton on the opening day of the current English Premier League season.
