
Nigerian player, Odion Jude Ighalo has joined hands with some Ajegunle-made players, home and abroad to donate an undisclosed amount to help in the treatment of Coach Ben Okunakpo, who has been down with stroke.
Coach Ben is a grassroot football tactician based in Ajegunle, who used to nurture a grassroots club named ‘Catch Them Young FC’. The grassroots club is based at the Adidas Park, Tolu Complex.
Coach Ben’s condition was pathetic, but some of the players whom he tutored rallied round to ensure he gets treatment.
Nigerian international player, Michael Afonja told eyeonthesports.com that Watford of England’s Ighalo donated to Coach Ben’s treatment, while his gesture was supported by some good samaritans including a club manager, Eleojo Itodo Peter and Barrister Oludare Peter Owolabi.
Also, Udo Nwokolo and Okpara Nnabuihe who play in Malta and Okpara Peter who is based in United States of America contributed to support their ailing coach.
