Ifako-Ijaiye Tackle Mushi In Lagos Junior League

Ifako Ijaiye Football Club remain the team to beat and a side on a mission, after mauling favourites, Apapa Golden Stars 4-2 during their Lagos Junior League, LJL, week 6 match, and went ahead to knock Apapa to the 3rd place on the log.
Ifako who sit in the second position on the Premier League table behind Surulere FC, will be out for all three points when they face Mushin Football Club on Sunday at the Alade Stadium.
For the Ajeromi Ifelodun side, who are in the middle of the log, the team are gearing up for their weekend test, when they come face-to-face with table toppers, Surulere FC.
The Surulere side have conceded only 3 goals so far this season and are yet to lose a match. They possess a very potent attack, which can boast of the second best scoring tally in the LJL.
However, Ajeromi have had a roller coaster ride so far this season, a lack of consistency that needs to be corrected if they are to snatch any point from the league leaders.
Perennial heavy weights Onigbongbo Ultimate Strikers and Mosan Okunola Fc are set to rekindle their rivalry, when they meet at the LASU Stadium on Saturday. Both teams have fluttered this season and this match will be an ideal avenue to get their season back on track.
Eti Osa East showed much promise earlier in the season but their inability to convert a good percentage of their chances has greatly hampered their potential. This is also the case with their weekend opponents Itire Ikate, whose only noteworthy display this season was their week 6 victory over Mosan Okunola.
Meanwhile, the match between Ojo and Apapa was postponed due to the latter’s international engagement.
