.Divorce Seeking Francisca Tells Court –
Mrs. Francisca Oyadiran, a Lagos-based businesswoman has revealed that her husband Mr. Ezekiel Oyadiran has impregnated a young lady, whom he introduced to her as his niece, eyeonthenws.com reports.
Their marriage was barely two years when the incident happened.
Our reporter was at Igando Customary Court in a Lagos suburb, when Francisca Oyadiran approached the Court to dissolve her marriage, citing husband’s infidelity.
The 42-year-old Francisca told the Court that her husband, Ezekiel, brought a young lady home and introduced her to her as his niece after five months of their wedding.
“He brought a young lady, who should be in her 20s, home and introduced her to me as his niece.
“He told me that she would be living with us, and I accepted her because I don’t know all his family members.
“And since then he stopped making love to me. After some months, his ‘niece’ got pregnant and my husband ran away with her to an unknown destination.
“He sublet our apartment to another tenant without my knowledge, I had to vacate the apartment when the new tenant moved in,” she submitted.
Frascisca said that when she heard that her husband did traditional wedding with his so-called ‘niece’, that she travelled to his hometown to confirm from his parents.
“His parent told me that they can only recognized a fertile woman as wife. They said I should also do likewise by marrying another man that they cannot force him to marry me,” she said.
The businesswoman submitted that Ezekiel never truly loved her but was after her money.
“When he approached me for marriage, he was jobless, but when he pleaded with me to allow him to join me in my business, I accepted.
“After our wedding, he took over the business from me,” she said.
She begged the court to dissolve the the marriage which has not produced any child.
However, the 45-year-old Ezekiel Oyadiran, who did not deny the allegations, welcomed the divorce suit.
Ezekiel, a businessman, said that Francisca was a bad cook.
“Francisca’s food is terrible and tasteless, anytime she cooks and I complain about her food she tells me to be doing the cooking myself.
“So I stopped eating her food because if I continue I may fall sick,” he said.
He described his estranged wife as dirty, he added: “Francisca is very dirty; she does not wash or sweep the house, everywhere in the house smells.
“She keeps used plates for four days or more and most times I do the cleaning,” he said.
The respondent said that when he came across the woman that can cook good food and takes care of the house that he went for her.
He urged the court to grant Francisca’s wish for the dissolution of the marriage, saying he had moved on with his life.
The President of the Court, Mr Adegboyega Omilola, after listening to the estranged couple adjourned the case to March 28 for judgment.
