High Flying Apapa Golden Stars Tackle Itire Ikate

.As Lagos Junior League Hots Up At Venues

As actions continue in the Lagos Junior League, LJL, this weekend, table topping Apapa Golden Stars have won all their games this season, and are daring other teams in the Premiership to remain on top of the table.

The Apapa side look good to continue their winning streak when they face resilient Itire Ikate Tripple I FC at the Strong Tower Stadium in Ikorodu on  Saturday afternoon.

Apapa will be counting on their goal machine, Ibrahim Fatia to lead the onslaught, but their opponents from Itire may not be easy preys at the end of hostilities.

Also, title contenders, Kosofe Football Club will want to keep the league leaders in sight with a victory when they come face to face with new boys Ajeromi Ifelodun.

The Ajeromi boys havent felt the heat of the Premier League yet, but this is likely to change as the in-form Kosofe look determined to make a mark in the Lagos Junior League this season.

For the Apapa Iganmu, that got their first win of this season last week against Oriade Football Club, it remains to be seen if they can improve on that result when they battle a spirited Surulere Sport City Football Club.

Another team, Onigbongbo Ultimate Strikers suffered a shock defeat last week in the hands of Oshodi Isolo Football Club. But, they will not want a repeat of such a fiasco when they face a rejuvenated Lagos Island East at the Alade Stadium on Sunday. There are other interesting fixtures in the Lagos Junior League this weekend, as the organisers have sent words to all participating teams to play according to the rules and regulations of the game.

Meanwhile, the LJL League 1 has entered its second week, with top fixtures such as; Agboyi Ketu engaging Shomolu at 4pm at the Lasu playground on Friday, 1 November, 2013. Egbe Idimu will also confront Iba at the Alade pitch on Friday, while Orile Agege and Ifelodun will tango at the Alade playground at 9am on Saturday, 2 November.

The other matches slated for Saturday in the League 1 are; Yaba taking on Ibeju Lekki at 9am at Onikan Stadium, Agbado Oke Odo will visit Epe Alaro in Epe, while Ayobo Ipaja tackle Eti Osa at the Strong tower at 4pm.
