Glo Premier League side, Heartland have officially announced Kelechi Emeteole as the side new technical adviser.
An official of the side, Cajetan Nkwopara said the management team led by Fan Ndubuoke after careful study of the team decided to bring in a seasoned technical adviser who will lead the technical crew.
“As part of the ongoing effort to reposition the team for the upcoming season, the management has decided to appoint a ‘seasoned hand’ coach Kelechi Emeteole as the side’s new technical adviser. The appointment is with immediate effect”, Nkwopara said to supersport.com.
Nkwopara confirmed the elevation of coach Ramson Madu as the chief coach, coach Bob Acholonu as the chief trainer and coach Mangut Mbwas as the assistant coach of the team.
Nkwopara added that Emeteole’s record and reputation as one of the big coaches in Nigeria coupled with his vast experience on the league scene will help him to raise and manage a formidable team that can emerge winners at the end of the season.
This will be Emeteole’s fifth coaching journey at the Naze Millionaires, a club he captained as a player.
Fondly called ‘Caterpillar’ by his fans, Emeteole had taken Heartland to the final of the CAF Champions League in 2009 where they lost on the away goal rule to DR Congo’s TP Mazembe.
Emeteole also headed the Naze Millionaires technical bench both in 1998 and 2001 when they were known as Iwuanyanwu Nationale and 1985 when the side were called Spartans.
In 2012 Emeteole guided El-Kanemi Warriors to gain promotion back to the Premier League.
