Gateway’ll Get Better -Nwosu

Gateway United coach, Henry Nwosu stepped out of the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta on Saturday a satisfied man following their hard-earned 1-0 victory against Bendel Insurance in the Nigeria National League (NNL) Division B Match day 4 tie.
The only goal of the encounter came deep into the second half through a well taken free kick by midfielder, Michael Okolo.
Nwosu said now that he has successfully achieved his first home win of the season, the next port of call is to grab the first away points at Prime FC.
“I’m very happy about this hard earned home victory against Insurance, it was not easy at all winning this game against an equally difficult and ambitious side
“The encounter was tight for both sides but I think we dominated proceeding and ably deserved to win.
“The players stood out and very impressive in today’s (Saturday) game. If they had been fantastic in previous games we would be in charge, I only pray they continue to get better in subsequent matches.
“I strongly believe today’s (Saturday) victory is the beginning of more good things to come.
“Now that we’ve succeeded in breaking the jinx at home we’ll take it up on the road to grab our first win.
“When we head to Osun to confront Prime FC in the coming weekend that’ll be the target to win the maximum points on the road”, said the former Golden Eaglets coach to supersport.com.
Nwosu commended the officiating of the encounter insisting that more of such balanced officiating will help the side to achieve good results on the road.
The Abeokuta-based side have now grabbed five points from a possible 12 in the four-week old Nigeria National League (NNL).
