The crisis rocking the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF took another dimension early Wednesday, 20 August, 2014 when the Secretariat of the Glass House allegedly went up in flames.
Eyeonthesports.com gathered that there was fire outbreak at the Old Secretariat of the Federation.
Sources say the fire started from the office of the Head of finance, pointing to the fact that financial details of the purported corrupt practices leveled against top brass of the body may have been lost in the inferno.
The cause of the fire is unknown as at the time of this report, but the Federation’s spokesperson, Ademola Olajire, confirmed the incident.
Olajire, who said he was just arriving the scene, said the fire began on the third floor of the building.
It was also gathered that the offices of the President, Secretary General and the accounts department might have been affected.
However the Fire Service officials have arrived at the scene and are battling to put out the fire.
The NFF is currently enmeshed in a leadership tussle between Aminu Maigari and Mike Umeh, laying claim to the chairmanship of the football body.
