Fayose Inaugurates New Board For Ekiti United

Governor Peter Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has promised to give priority attention to sports development as he steers the ship of the state for the second time.
The Governor gave the assurance in Ado Ekiti, while inaugurating the new board of Ekiti United football club.
Governor Fayose, who, Was represented by the Attorney General and commissioner for Justice, Barrister Owoseni Ajayi, said the state is committed to empowering youths and take sports to an enviable position through various programmes that have been outlined for sports development.
In a press statement by the spokesman of the new board, Toyin Ayoola, the Governor promised to ensure that Ekiti excels in sports just as in any other trades where the state is
doing well.
The Governor promised to back up the new board of Ekiti United with a charge to the board members to live above board and ensure that the team performs creditably well in the coming season.
In his contribution, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Information Youth and Sports Development, Honourable Lanre Ogunsuyi, said the new board members were chosen on merit and for their past contributions to sports development.
He urged them to use the opportunity to fish out hidden talents in Ekiti State and make sure that Ekiti United Football Club ranks among the leading clubs in Nigeria.
Responding on behalf of the new board members, the chairperson, Mrs Olufunmilayo Olayinka-Adefemi promised that the board will surprise Ekiti people and Nigerians as a whole in terms of achievements.
She expressed optimism that Ekiti State has the potentials and resources of becoming one of the leading states in sports competitions, and administration hence she promised that the board will tap into all these advantages.
The new board members are, Mrs Olufunmilayo Olayinka-Adefemi chairperson, Honourable Oladipo Ebenezer Vice Chairman, Dapo Lagunju, chief Bolawole, Honourable Lanre Ogunsuyi, and Toyin Ayoola while Mr Bayo Lanlege will serve as Secretary to the board.
