Falcons Set For AWC Qualifier Against Rwanda

Nigeria’s Super Falcons will go into Saturday’s AWC qualifier against hosts Rwanda clad in white jerseys while their opponents will put on yellow Jersey, green short and blue hose.
The Falcons are in high spirits for their Africa Women Championship, AWC, qualifier against Rwanda in Gisenyi, a town three hours away from the capital city of Kigali.
Coach Edwin Okon said the team are unruffled by the gimmicks of their hosts as they are poised to win the first leg before going back to Nigeria to do the final job of booking a ticket to the AWC in Namibia.
“We refuse to fall prey to all their gimmicks. You must not lose focus and I want you to do your talking on the pitch by beating the She-Amavubi hands down on Saturday”, he told the players soon after the three hours journey from Kigali.
Team skipper Nwabuoku Evelyn said she is not worried about their hosts taking the game to the outside of Kigali, adding that she wants to open her tenure as captain on a winning note and that Rwanda cannot stop her dream of lifting the AWC trophy in Namibia.
Falcons trained by 3pm to 4:30pm local time on Friday which is the official training time allotted to the team.
The match will be played by 3:30pm local time which is 2:30 Nigeria time on Saturday.
