Eyeonthesports.com can authoritatively report that winner of this year’s Men’s singles event at the Dala Hard Court tourney in Kano, Nigeria, Clifford Enosoregbe, is Nigeria’s number one male tennis player.
This much was disclosed to our correspondent over the weekend, by the country’s Chief Umpire, Mr. Seidu Isa.
Isa confirmed a story which eyeonthesports.com published earlier that Enosoregbe is ending the outgoing year as Nigeria’s number one tennis player.
He also explained that Enosoregbe has garnered enough points from the two tournaments he featured in the country this year, and would be announced as the country’s number one player.
He said: “We do the rankings based on the tournaments that the players play in the country every year, and as it stands now, they had just two in 2013.
“Every player was ranked according to the number of points that he raked in during each national tournament, so they were deserved points”, the bronze-badged referee offered.
