Lagos Island Eko Akete gave a stunning display to hold Apapa Golden Stars to a 2-2 draw during their rescheduled Lagos Junior League, LJL, week 9 encounter at the Onikan Stadium on Wednesday. Apapa opened scoring with a sublime effort from Adewale Sapara in the 34th minute, and barely four minutes later, Lagos Island replied with a beautiful volley from Amarachi Uche.
The Apapa team again went ahead through striker Ibrahim Muritala in the dying minutes of the first half.
The Island team responded once again three minutes after the restart to disrupt Apapa’s title aspirations.
Meanwhile in the Lagos Junior League, LJL League 1, Agbado Oke Odo won their first game in three matches with a convincing 2-0 thrashing of Ayobo ipaja.
New signings Oguniyi Tobi and Kolade Davies provided the much needed fire power to the Oke-Odo team’s fantastic victory.
